Requirements
- Experience: 2 month(s)
- Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
- Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs
- Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers
- Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment
- Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment
- Inform farm managers of crop progress
- Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags
- Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping
- Haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil
- Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures
- Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery
- Attach implements using hand tools. Must speak and understand English.
