Requirements
- Experience: 6 month(s)
- Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
- Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record.
- Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle
- Assist in live birth deliveries of cows and heifers
- Mix, grind, deliver, move feed/feedstuffs to cattle to supplement diet
- Maintain records on animals
- Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries
- Administer medications, vaccinations, shots, oral wormers, pour on wormers, etc. as appropriate
- Clean and maintain animal housing areas
- Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences
- Move livestock from one location to another
- Break ice in water tanks. Must speak and understand English.
