Requirements
- Experience: 6 month(s)
- Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
- Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals including cattle
- Maintain records on animals
- Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries
- Wean young
- Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate
- Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions
- Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to swath, rake, bale, hay and to distribute hay, feed to animals
- Move livestock from one location to another
- Clean and maintain animal housing areas
- Wean and sort cattle for sale
- Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair equipment, facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
