- Experience: 3 month(s)
- Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
- Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record.
- Be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle
- Move cubes, liquid feed, hay to cattle to supplement diet
- Maintain records on animals
- Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries
- Assist in birth deliveries, calving, weaning, and breeding
- Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate
- Drive trucks, tractors, and other machines for duties such as distributing feed to animals and distributing fertilizer and other farm products
- Clean and maintain animal housing areas
- Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, fences and farm equipment
- Provide mineral to cattle grazing wheat pasture
- Maintain inventory
- Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping
- Trap and destroy pests such as moles, gophers, and mice
- work in extreme temperatures
- Must speak and understand English.
