- Caretaking of livestock - feeding and watering of animals
- Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries and assist with administering of medication, vaccination or insecticides.
- Monitor corn stalk fields for grazing purposes and determine whether animals should move to new grazing fields.
- Assist in moving animals to grazing fields.
- Hauling feed from trailers to animals
- Maintaining winter animal housing areas
- using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed
- Hauling of manure and cleaning of pens
- Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining and repair of equipment, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance and upkeep of farm buildings.
- Use of various farm and cattle specific farming equipment like tractors, feed wagon, payloader and skid loader.
- Livestock: sheep and cattle
