- Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals
- Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries
- Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides
- Maintaining winter animal housing areas
- using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed
- Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining and repair of equipment, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance of grain bins and general buildings
- Use of various farm and cattle specific farming equipment
- Maintaining records, as required by the various relevant entities, clients and inhouse management
- Receive and place stocker cattle on corn stalks for grazing.
- Installing/removing electric fence on cornstalks.
- Pull cattle off stalks (prior to planting).
- Sell cattle, move cattle with stock trailer.
